The Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) hosted the presentation of several scientific-methodical manuals published by the Scientific-Research Institute of Vegetable Growing.
Acting Rector of the University Zafar Gurbanov who made a speech at the presentation noted that more than 3,000 books have been sent to the book fund of ADAU for the last six months. All these valuable means are directed to provide students with theoretical parts of modern methods and techniques at high level in the field of agriculture. Recently presented “Scientific and methodical manual on primary seed production of potato plants”,"Diagnosis of common diseases and pests of potato plants","Procedures for the production of healthy seed potatoes in the territory" and "Preparation and storage of gene pool materials, large-scale in vitro propagation, potato tuber production" are valuable funds for students.
Meat vegetable production chairman of the board of the public legal entity Elmar Allakhverdiyev spoke in detail about the new funds. He said that the presented books will help to assimilate a lot of useful information for both students and farmers, and when the time comes, to apply it in the right form.
It should be noted that during the last six months 450 units of books for future specialists in the field of agriculture were donated in cooperation with BP, 70 units by OTI Publik legal person, 196 units from Turkey, 9 units-BHOS and 3000 units by Academician Garib Mammadov to the library fund of ADAU. A total of 3,795 books have been added to the ADAU library collection in the past six months.
