On February 2, an event was held at Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU) on the occasion of Azerbaijan Youth Day.
The event commemorated the dear memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the integrity of our lands with a minute of silence, and then the National Anthem was played.
Speaking at the event, the rector of the University, Zafar Gurbanov, congratulated the youth on the occasion of this significant day. In his speech, the rector emphasized that the youth policy founded by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev today, and noted that the attention and care shown to youth at the state level has yielded significant results. Zafar Gurbanov noted that young people studying at ADAU, in addition to acquiring modern agrarian knowledge, are also formed in the spirit of innovative thinking, initiative and patriotism. The rector called on the youth to actively participate in the sustainable development of the country's agrarian sector and to mobilize the knowledge and skills they have acquired for the future of Azerbaijan.
Nizami Mammadov, Chairman of the Student Trade Union Committee, spoke about the work done to increase the social activity of young people, improve the social well-being of students and ensure their active participation in university life, and expressed his gratitude to the ADAU administration for the support shown to student initiatives.
At the end of the event, a group of students who were distinguished for their special activity in the public life of the university, scientific, cultural and social activities were awarded honorary certificates.
