A meeting was held between the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) and the K.I. Satbayev Kazakh National Research Technical University aimed at developing bilateral cooperation in the fields of science and education.
During the meeting, delegations from both higher education institutions discussed opportunities for collaboration in strategic areas of mutual interest.
The discussions primarily focused on modern agricultural technologies, digitalization in the agrarian sector, “smart agriculture,” and the training of specialists in these fields.
The Rector of ADAU, Zafar Gurbanov, emphasized that combining ADAU’s rich traditions and experience in the agricultural sector with Satbayev University’s strong potential in engineering and innovative information technologies would significantly contribute to the economies and industries of both countries.
The Chairman of the Board and Rector of Satbayev University, Meyram Begentayev, expressed interest in joint cooperation and highlighted future prospects.
The parties also exchanged views on expanding student and faculty exchange programs to align education quality with international standards, as well as implementing dual-degree programs at the master’s level.
In addition, issues such as conducting joint scientific research, participating in international grant projects related to modern agrotechnologies, and organizing joint scientific conferences were discussed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a preliminary agreement was reached to formalize cooperation in the mentioned areas and initiate systematic implementation in the near future through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.
Representatives of both institutions noted that this partnership would contribute to strengthening the brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, as well as deepening strategic cooperation in science and education.
