A delegation of foreign students from Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) visited the city of Ganja at the official invitation of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU).
The visit was attended by 20 foreign students from 20 countries studying at ASOIU under the Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant program. At the first stage of the program, the delegation visited the Ganja Memorial Complex. Here, the guests were informed that the complex, inaugurated by President Ilham Aliyev in 2025, aims to perpetuate the dear memory of the innocent people who were victims of Armenian missile attacks during the Second Karabakh War and to convey the bitter realities of the war to future generations.
Later, the foreign students got acquainted with the material and technical base, educational environment and scientific and research opportunities of the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University. The guests also visited the studio of the University's online television, ADAU TV, the Innovation Center and modern laboratories.
Meeting with the guests, ADAU Rector Zafar Gurbanov drew attention to the fact that the Agrarian University, the only state higher education institution in our country that trains agricultural specialists, is a higher education institution that attaches special importance to international cooperation, academic exchange and cultural diversity.
Sabina Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Work with Foreign Students at ASOIU, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome.
The meeting discussed the importance of foreign students' acquaintance with regional universities, their academic and social integration, as well as opportunities for cooperation between higher education institutions in the direction of internationalization.
