An event was held in the assembly hall of the Ganja State Agrarian College under the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU) on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Speaking at the event, ADAU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Ahmad Malikov conveyed the greetings of the University's Rector Zafar Gurbanov to the participants of the event and spoke about the effective activities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the country since its establishment.
Deputy Head of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant Colonel Rauf Abbasov, provided information about the sources of danger and their nature and highly appreciated the important measures taken in this direction at the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University. At the event, Head of the Civil Defense Preparation Department of the Ganja Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant Colonel Bahai Nasirov, spoke about the measures taken in the region for Civil Defense and considered the work done at ADAU exemplary for the entire region.
Then, the director of the Ganja State Agrarian College, Fagan Aghayev, employees of the Department of Life Safety of the ADAU, associate professor Nemat Hajiyev and senior lecturer Abbas Ibrahimov, and Yusif Guliyev, a third-year student of the "Life Safety Engineering" specialty, spoke in detail about the expected sources of danger and the measures planned to be taken to eliminate the effects of such situations.
At the end of the event, a demonstration of the technical means used for rescue and other urgent measures in various emergency situations, their characteristics, as well as the practical work of rescuers was held in front of the building of the Agronomy and Zooengineering Faculties of ADAU, led by Captain Ali Khalilov, an employee of the Ganja Regional Center.
