At the initiative of the Department of Life Safety at the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU), an “Educational event on protection against technogenic accidents” was organized under the motto “Everything will be fine!”
The event was dedicated to the dear memory of those who died as a result of the accident of the “Embraer 190” passenger plane belonging to “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC during the Baku-Grozny flight.
At the event, the memory of the victims of the tragedy was first commemorated with a minute of silence.
Jalil Aliyev and Kamala Aliyeva, the parents of Hokuma Aliyeva, who died in the accident, spoke at the event and shared the grave tragedy they experienced with the event participants, drawing attention to the grave consequences of indifference to safety.
Togrul Jafarov, who survived the accident, shared his personal experience in his speech about the psychological state in emergency situations, the professionalism of crew members and the vital importance of emergency preparedness.
Head of the Department of Life Safety, Associate Professor Eldar Zeynalov provided information on the causes of man-made accidents, risk analysis and preventive approaches. Associate Professors Nemat Hajiyev and Siyavush Valiyev spoke about safety mechanisms, international standards and the human factor in civil aviation.
Senior lecturer of the department Abbas Ibrahimov analyzed the professionalism and dedication shown by the captain of the aircraft Igor Kshnyakin, the co-pilot Alexander Kalyaninov and the flight attendant Hokuma Aliyeva in emergency situations from a scientific and ethical perspective.
Professors Ziyad Abbasov and Gabil Mammadov evaluated the event from the perspective of national solidarity and collective responsibility.
In the second part of the event, Kamran Gurbanli, Umid Mirzayev, Yusif Guliyev and Mahammad Jabbarli, who studied in the specialty "Life Safety Engineering", made presentations on the topics of man-made accidents, protective measures, fire safety and first aid.
At the end of the event, practical exercises were held on the use of fire extinguishers, and safe behavior skills were visually demonstrated to the participants.
