The Minister of Agriculture, Inam Kerimov, became acquainted with the preparation for the new school year at the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University.
The Minister visited the newly opened Biotechnology Centre, attended the launch of the new ADAU website, reviewed the completion of the Vocational Training Centre, met with teachers and university students.
The Biotechnology Centre of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University has been operating since this year. In the center, in the laboratory, clone subclavian forms are multiplied by a microclonal method. The Biotechnology Centre, equipped with the latest equipment, employs graduates of this institution.
During a meeting with teachers in the Student Park, they exchanged views on training in agriculture, research in agriculture, improvement of the quality of education, and study abroad through exchange programmes for students and teachers, enhancing experience in attracting foreign experts. The suggestions made at the meeting were recorded and appropriate instructions were given for the implementation of the appeals.
At the meeting with students on the teaching and research farm it was noted that in the coming days the «Agricultural Development Volunteers» and the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University will open the summer school «Agriculture of the Future». Trainings and meetings on such topics as "future agriculture", "development of the agricultural sector in the liberated territories", "global climate change, its impact on the development of the agricultural sector and food security", "Agrarian youth and directions of agrarian education", with the participation of leading scientists of our country and foreign universities, representatives of international organizations, State and business structures will be held at the summer school.
Minister Inam Kerimov congratulated the students who successfully completed bachelor’s degree and enrolled in the master’s degree, and wished the Volunteers success in their activities.
