The Private Sector Activity (PSA), financed by the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) and USAID, together with the Ferrero Hazelnut Company (Hco) has started trainings on the Technical Certificate Program (TCP) in Hazelnut Production.
The first meeting took place on 16-17 October in the new building of the Agricultural University.
Thirty-four students and graduates of agronomy participate in the Technical Certificate Program aimed at further development of the hazelnut industry in Azerbaijan and its export. TCP’s next sessions are planned in Ganja, Guba, Gabala and Zagatala, respectively, over the next 5 weekends.
Due to the fact that in addition to the traditional method, the training was conducted online, the number of participants was large.
At the end, there was a mutual discussion between the participants and the experts.
It is worth mentioning that at the end of the program, participants take an examination and receive an international certificate. The next meeting will be held again on 30-31 October in ADAU.
