The training of agricultural specialists in Azerbaijan goes back to 1920. On November 13, 1920, Azerbaijan Revolutionary Committee resolved to establish Baku Technical Institute, and on December 14, its five faculties, including agricultural one, were opened. The agricultural faculty functioned for 9 years.
